Caravel?
[edit]What criteria was used to classify the Lisa von Lübeck as a caravel? The caravel in the 13th century was a southern European coastal and fishing craft, generally carrying a lateen rig. How did they arrive at the classification of "caravel"? Was this due to the manner in which the vessel was built (carvel planked)? - VA —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.43.48.130 (talk) 16:09, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Caravel? Yup, it's not a cog
[edit]I thought that Lisa von Lübeck wasn't a caravel, but a cog, but according to the official website it's a caravel. See also the German Wiki. Mojowiha (talk) 10:59, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Nope. It's a Kraweel (1). German for caravel is Karavelle. 151.177.57.31 (talk) 00:29, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
